Kaley Cuoco, 28, shocked a lot of fans when she got a major haircut in June, cutting off the long blonde locks fans have been accustomed to thanks to "The Big Bang Theory."
But in a new interview with Women's Health magazine, Kaley revealed she actually wanted to cut it even shorter.
Just how short?

She's "surprised" she didn't end up shaving her head.
"That exploded very big. The haircut heard around the planet. We did it three days ago and it got around fast. I can’t stop touching it. I am so obsessed with it," she told Women's Health for their September cover.

She also revealed that prior to the big chop, she hadn't had a significant haircut in 20 years.
"When I wrapped season 7 of 'Big Bang' a couple months ago, we cut it short that night. I haven’t had my hair cut in over 20 years. I was ready for a change -- I felt like I needed to reinvent myself and that cut was awesome," she said. "And I kept seeing people cutting their hair shorter and shorter, and I thought, it’s only a few more inches, and I talked to my hair dresser and we cut it. I loved it, I didn’t want to stop. I am surprised I did not shave my head."
As for the recent news that she and her "Big Bang Theory" co-stars Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons have signed new three-year contracts (estimated to be $1 million per episode), Kaley confirmed the news, and previewed what she would like to see in season 8 of the hit CBS show.

"I hope next season we engage wedding stuff, I would love that. If I had to guess Leonard is more of a planner than Penny, which is funny. All babies grow up; everyone is growing up and getting more mature. I’m excited to see what season 8 brings. We signed for 3 more years so I feel like we have a lot of stories to tell and I feel so lucky we are going to be on much longer," she said.
As for married life, Kaley -- who got engaged to pro tennis player Ryan Sweeting after just three months of dating and tied the knot last New Year's Eve -- things couldn't be better.
... Though married life isn't always the most exciting.

"The best part is that you always have your buddy with you. He is always there; my friend is always with me. I have someone to eat with, to talk to, to have a drink with, to cry with, to be anything I need to be. He’s always going to be there and me the same for him," she shared. "I like the cliché where we have a routine now -- we have become that married couple. We are home at the same time, we order the same food, we watch the same show, and we love it. A couple times I’ve said, ‘Are we super lame?’ and he is like, 'No we are the best,' and I’m like, 'Ok.' That’s who we are and I like that we have this new marital routine."
