The 28-year-old singer was forced to cancel a string of shows on his Justice World Tour due to the condition

Justin Bieber took to Instagram on Monday with an optimistic update about his health after he revealed he was recently diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which has caused partial facial paralysis.

"Wanted to share a little bit of how I’ve been feelin," he wrote. "Each day has gotten better and through all of the discomfort I have found comfort in the one who designed me and knows me.

"I’m reminded he knows all of me. He know the darkest parts of me that I want no one to know about and he constantly welcomes me into his loving arms. This perspective has give me peace during this horrific storm that I’m facing."

He added: "I know this storm will pass but in the meantime Jesus is with me."

Justin Bieber gave fans an optimistic update about his health after he revealed he was recently diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome. The singer attended the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 03, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bieber captioned the social share: "By this point in my life I realize storms come and go. Jesus continues to remind me that he is with me in the midst of the storm. It’s not about the storm. It’s that we are NEVER ALONE AND HE UNDERSTANDS."

On Friday, the "What Do You Mean?" singer revealed he's struggled with facial movements on the right side of his face, including blinking his eye, moving his nostril or simply smiling from the right side of his mouth.

"For those who are frustrated by my cancellations of the next shows, I'm just physically, obviously, not capable of doing them," he said in a video. "This is pretty serious as you can see. I wish this wasn't the case, but obviously my body is telling me that I've got to slow down.

"I hope you guys understand. I'll just be using this time to rest and relax and get back to 100% so that I can do what I was born to do."

Bieber thanked his fans for being "patient" with him as he recovers. Ramsay Hunt syndrome "occurs when a shingles outbreak affects the facial nerve near one of your ears," according to the Mayo Clinic.

It can lead to facial paralysis and hearing loss in the affected ear and is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox.

"I'm going to get better, and I'm doing all of these face exercises to get my face back to normal," he said. "It will go back to normal, it's just time. We don't know how much time it's going to be. It's going to be OK."

His wife of nearly four years, Hailey Baldwin Bieber, also shared the singer's original Instagram post, noting that she loves him.

"Due to Justin’s ongoing medical situation, this week’s Justice Tour shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City will be postponed," AEG wrote online. "Justin is receiving the best medical care possible and is determined to resume the tour as soon as he and the doctors feel he is able to continue. Details on the rescheduled MSG shows will be made public shortly."

The Biebers recently endured another health scare earlier this year when Hailey suffered "stroke-like" symptoms and was rushed to the hospital where doctors discovered she had a blood clot in her brain.

Hailey then had a patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure procedure performed to mend a hole in her heart which had gone undetected since birth.
