Beyoncé started her birthday celebrations a day early with the help of her doting husband.
On Sunday, during his set at the Made in America Festival in Philadelphia, Jay-Z had the crowd croon “Happy Birthday” to Queen Bey, who turned 36 on Monday.
“Shout out to Beyoncé,” Jay-Z, 47, said onstage. “Beautiful Bey is in the house tonight. Happy birthday, my love.”

The audience and Hov first serenaded Beyoncé with the traditional “Happy Birthday,” then with Stevie Wonder’s rendition.
Beyoncé, honoring her Hurricane Harvey-stricken hometown of Houston with a Rockets shirt, beamed at her husband from the side of the stage, where she danced with Destiny’s Child bandmate Michelle Williams.
Jay-Z wasn’t the only person close to the singer to honor her on her big day.

Bey’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, also paid tribute to the “Drunk in Love” songstress with a heartfelt Instagram post. “36 years ago God Chose me out of all the women in the world to be your mother!” she wrote. “How blessed could I be? Not because you are a super talented, [a] smart businesswoman and one of the biggest superstars! It’s because you are the kindest most generous, thoughtful, intuitive, loyal, humble, funny, grounded, grateful and loving human being. I am proud to be your mom.”
