Danica Patrick is crossing back over into entertainment.

The NASCAR star is joining country singer Trace Adkins as co-host of the American Country Awards on Dec. 10.

Patrick will have an experienced hand to guide her. Adkins has overseen the show since it began four years ago. Last year, his sidekick was Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth.

The show will air live on Fox from the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas.

Patrick says she's become a fan of country music since she joined the NASCAR circuit, and she's appeared in videos with Miranda Lambert and Colt Ford.
