Actor Charlie Sheen was rushed to a hospital on Thursday morning.

His rep told FOX411 that "he was having severe abdominal pains."

TMZ reported Sheen was taken from his home on a stretcher, and that someone at the hospital told them Sheen's condition was "serious."

There were also reportedly two young women with the "Two and a Half Men" star when he was taken away. And neighbors described what sounded like a large party at Sheen's house the previous night.

Sheen, 45, was hospitalized in New York City at the end of 2010 after a family vacation went awry when he was removed from the Plaza Hotel while a porn star hid in his locked bathroom. His ex-wife Denise Richards and two small children were staying in a room across  the hall.

Recently, CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler said there was a "high level of concern" over Sheen's behavior, but because he came to work on time and was fulfilling his contract, there was little the network could do.

“This man is a father. He’s got children. He has a family. So obviously there is concern on a personal level. But you can’t look at it simplistically," Tassler said. "Right now the show continues to be a hit. Everyone is doing their job and things are continuing as planned.”

Sheen's co-star on his hit CBS show, Jon Cryer, was on "Conan" late Wednesday night, discussing the drama over Sheen's private life and his disbelief of Sheen's lurid, drug-fueled trysts.

"The stuff you hear is just unbelievable," Cryer told host Conan O'Brien.

The duo of Cryer and Sheen are signed up for another full season of the CBS series, with Sheen reportedly pulling in more than $2 million per episode. Cryer earns $550,000 per episode, according to TV Guide magazine.
