2013 Ford F-150 revealed

Ford has unveiled a mild refresh of its F-150 pickup for 2013, as America's best-selling vehicle looks to stay ahead of its resurgent competitors from GM and Ram. Largely a cosmetic update, including new trim and color combinations, several key new features will debut on the truck when it goes on sale this fall. (Ford)

The most obvious change is a bold new big rig grille that apes the one found on Ford's Super Duty pickups. Behind it lurks one of four carry-over engines, including the popular 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6, which can tow a maximum of 11,300 lbs and deliver 22 mpg on the highway, best in class figures both. Review: Ford F-140 EcoBoost (Ford)

Inside, top versions of the F-150 come with a custom version of the cloud-connected MyFord Touch infotainment system that features auxiliary buttons and knobs for easier use when wearing work gloves than the touch-screen interface alone can provide. (Ford)

HID projector beam headlights are a first time option on the F-150, and power-telescoping trailer tow sideview mirrors are available. Three new colors, Blue Jeans Metallic, Kodiak Brown Metallic and Ruby Red Clearcoat Metallic, have also been added. (Ford)
