Another few days of rather cool and, at times, unsettled weather lie ahead for the United Kingdom this week.
In greater London and much of England, Wednesday and Thursday will bring a few showery outbreaks interspersed with dry, sunny spells. High temperatures will be about 20 C in many places.
Increased influence of high pressure will lead to a slight warming trend amidst little to no rain on Friday through Sunday.
Meanwhile, much of Scotland will see bouts of rain Friday until about Sunday, owing to a succession of at least two depressions across the region.
Monday, the weather on the continent will heat up, and a bit of this warming will spill over to the United Kingdom, leading to temperatures between 26 C and 28 C in England.
The passing of a cold front will cut short the warm spell on Tuesday.
