Three former football players at the University of Toledo have been placed on probation for their roles in a sports bribery scheme that occurred years ago at the Ohio school.

Adam Cuomo, Quinton Broussard and Harvey "Scooter" McDougle Jr. admit taking money from Detroit-area gambler Ghazi Manni to provide information about the Rockets or their opponents a decade ago.

All three were sentenced to probation Tuesday by Detroit federal Judge Mark Goldsmith.

Broussard received more than $2,000 in cash or goods, including $100 to fumble in the 2005 GMAC Bowl. Manni paid Toledo football and basketball players to provide information or alter their play to affect the final score.

Two former basketball players were placed on probation last week. Manni and another gambler will be sentenced in May.
