Officials say a man supported by scaffolding fell nearly 30 feet while working on a carnival ride at a southern New Jersey mall.

NBC-10 in Philadelphia reports that the maintenance worker fell Sunday at the Voorhees Town Center in Voorhees Township. The station says the 33-year-old unidentified man slipped while working on a ride at the mall.

Officials tell the station that the worker was conscious after the fall. They say he was taken to Cooper Medical Center but did not give his condition.

Voorhees Town Center says on its website that Sunday was the last day of the carnival, which opened April 25. It says proceeds from the event were to benefit the Nephcure Foundation, which supports research on the kidney disorders FSGS and Nephrotic Syndrome.
