Seattle Sounders 2 -- Olimpia 1

Brad Evans converted a penalty kick seven minutes into second-half stoppage time to claim victory at CenturyLink Field. Olimpia grabbed control of the game through Alberth Elis' fifth-minute header and spent the next 85 minutes frustrating the home side with resolute defending and thorough timewasting. Seattle hit the post on a couple of occasions and watched Noel Valladares produce several fine saves before finally equalizing through Erik Friberg's header in the 90th minute. Dylan Remick won a penalty deep into stoppage time to pave the way for Evans to convert from the spot and send the Sounders to the top of the Group of Death. These two sides meet again in Tegucigalpa next week.

Club América 1 -- Walter Ferretti 0

América labored for most of the night before finally overcoming the Nicaraguan side at Estadio Azteca. Michael Arroyo finally engineered the breakthrough from a set piece after 70 minutes. His low drive inside the far post finally broke Walter Ferretti's resistance and placed Las Aguilas on course for the points. América threatened to grab a second, but the home side settled for this unexpectedly narrow victory instead.

Arabe Unido 0 -- D.C. United 1

United climbed to the top of Group H with a gritty victory in Panama City. The visitors toiled away with a reserve-filled lineup for much of this game, but they managed to produce the necessary sequence required to decide it five minutes from time. Miguel Aguilar claimed the points with a composed finish to give United a precious three points in the race to secure a quarterfinal place.
