Glasgow, Scotland (SportsNetwork.com) - Celtic wrapped up its Scottish Premier League season in style on Sunday, cruising past Dundee United in a 3-1 win at Parkhead.

The Hoops were held in check until the 64th minute when Anthony Stokes broke through for the opening goal.

A 76th-minute penalty from Georgios Samaras doubled Celtic's advantage before an own goal from Filip Twardzik three minutes later brought United back to within one, but Kris Commons restored the two-goal margin in the 82nd minute with his league-leading 27th goal of the campaign.

Celtic clinched the title with ease this season, finishing the campaign with 99 points from 38 games while suffering just one defeat.

Elsewhere on the final day of the Scottish league season, Inverness claimed a 2-0 win over St. Johnstone behind goals from Ryan Christie and Greg Tansey while Craig Reid scored at the death in Motherwell's 1-0 defeat of Aberdeen.
