Carlos Tevez pleads guilty to driving offenses, must carry out 250 hours of community service

MACCLESFIELD, England – Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez will do 250 hours of community service after admitting to driving with his license suspended and without insurance.

The Argentina international was also given a new six-month driving ban and fined $1,500 after pleading guilty to the offenses in court near Manchester on Thursday.

The maximum penalty for driving while disqualified is six months in prison.

Tevez was banned from driving for six months on Jan. 16 after failing to respond to letters by police about speeding. However, he was stopped by police while driving a sports car on a road near his home on March 7, following an anonymous tip-off.
