The Atlanta Hawks acquired veteran sharp- shooter Kyle Korver from the Chicago Bulls on Monday in exchange for cash considerations.

Korver spent the past two seasons in Chicago. Last season, he posted per-game averages of 8.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 65 games played. He knocked down 43.5 percent of three-point attempts, which ranked him 10th in the league.

"I appreciate the toughness and the competitive energy Kyle brings to the game every night and we're very excited to add him to our team," Hawks president of basketball operations and general manager Danny Ferry said. "Adding him makes shooting an even greater strength for our team."

Over nine NBA seasons with Philadelphia, Utah and Chicago, Korver has career averages of 9.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. He is a career 41.3 percent shooter from beyond the arc and has hit 40 percent-or-better from long range in all but three of his pro seasons.
