"Desperate Housewives" actress Eva Longoria filed the appropriate paper work on Wednesday to divorce husband, San Antonio Spurs basketball star Tony Parker.

Longoria filed the paper work "in an  L.A. County Superior Court" where she cited "irreconcilable differences."

On Tuesday, when gossip websites reported Parker had filed for divorce, Longoria's rep strongly denied the rumor. But just hours later, the People Magazine website reported that a new source was saying it would be Longoria doing the filing "as early as Wednesday."

People also reported that according to the source, Eva was allegedly “totally and completely blindsided” by recent allegations of her husband’s infidelity.

The break-up rumors began Tuesday, when gossip site TMZ had originally reported that San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker had filed for divorce from his wife, "Desperate Housewives" co-star Eva Longoria, on Monday. The couple has been married since 2007.

E! Online reported Longoria has cancelled a scheduled Saturday appearance on Anderson Cooper's "CNN Heroes of 2010." But Longoria's publicist later sent them an email saying the divorce rumor "is 100% false, Tony did NOT file for divorce from Eva."

Alas, according to the Associated Press, Longoria filed for divorce today.
