Saudi jetliner accident injures 29 passengers after plane suffers landing gear failure

Saudi Arabia's aviation authority says 29 people have been injured in an accident involving one of its state carrier's jetliners after a landing gear failure.

General Authority for Civil Aviation spokesman Khaled bin Abdullah Khaybari told the official Saudi Press Agency that the Saudi Arabian Airlines flight from Iran suffered a landing gear failure prior to landing early Sunday at Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Aziz International Airport in the western city of Medina.

Khaybari told the news agency the Boeing 767-300 plane was carrying 315 passengers.
