German news agency dpa reports that police have conducted an anti-terror raid near Frankfurt and taken a man and a woman into custody.

The agency reported that Hesse police said Thursday the raid took place overnight in the town of Oberursel.

Police told dpa a home and a vehicle were searched but didn't confirm reports by German newspaper Die Welt that a pipe bomb, an assault rifle and ammunition were found.

Police and prosecutors couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
