Two Mexican federal officials say alleged cartel capo Hector Beltran-Leyva is believed to have been captured.
The officials say DNA testing is being done to confirm the suspect's identity.
Beltran-Leyva is leader of a cartel named after his brother Arturo, who was killed by Mexican troops in a shootout in late 2009. The U.S. government says it is responsible for trafficking cocaine, marijuana, heroin and methamphetamine.
