Israeli police say a number of people were wounded when two suspects attacked a Jerusalem synagogue.

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld says the suspects were killed at the scene of the attack on Tuesday. He declined to say how they were killed.

He says it wasn't immediately clear what weapons the suspects used to attack the worshippers at the synagogue.

The violence comes amid high tensions in the city, with a wave of attacks by Palestinians on Israelis killing at least six people in recent weeks.
