Iran's official news agency says the president's press adviser has returned to prison after being on a four-day medical leave granted by judicial authorities.
Monday' report by IRNA says Ali Akbar Javanfekr went back to Tehran's Evin Prison to continue serving his six-month sentence for "publishing material contrary to Islamic norms" and insulting Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The charges are believed linked to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's political battles with Khamenei.

Ahmadinejad visited Javanfker in hospital on Sunday in a gesture of support for the adviser. The adviser was in stable condition.
An Iranian court convicted Javanfekr in 2011 and banned him from journalism activities for three years.
