A German shipping company says four crew members from one of its vessels have been kidnapped by pirates off the coast of Equatorial Guinea.
Hamburg-based Leonhardt and Blumberg says the container ship Hansa Marburg was attacked Monday 130 miles south-west of the port of Malabo.
It says the people kidnapped include Ukrainian, Kiribati and Russian citizens.

The company says the vessel was allowed to continue to Senegal.
Leonhardt and Blumberg said in a statement Thursday that it was in contact with the crew members' families and working with authorities in Germany to ensure the release of those kidnapped.
