A grandmother is facing criminal charges in the death of an Ontario toddler left alone in a sweltering car.
Leslie McDonald, 51, was charged Friday with criminal negligence in connection with the death of her grandson, Maximus Huyskens.
Police say the boy died on June 26, a month short of his second birthday, after being exposed to high-level temperatures for an extended period of time.
