Ugandan court documents show that an American man was charged in a Kampala court with forging currency of more than $190,000 found in his Ugandan home.

Ryan Gustafson faces 25 years in prison if convicted of the charges following his arrest in this East African country on Dec. 11. Gustafson will remain jailed until his trial on Jan. 9, 2015, said Lilian Bucyana, the chief magistrate at the Buganda Road Court ruled Monday.

Police alleged that Gustafson has forged more than $2 million that is in circulation around the world. Police spokesman Fred Enanga said printers, thumb drives, paper cutters, routers and ink believed to be used in printing the fake money were seized in Gustafson's house.
