An Ohio woman who reported that her husband committed suicide by suffocation in 2011 has been arrested on a murder charge.
Police announced Friday that 56-year-old Jeane L. Harrington, of Avon Lake, had been taken into custody after a three-year investigation into the death of her husband, 55-year-old Michael C. Gabel.
In a 911 call, Harrington said she found Gabel dead, with industrial-strength plastic wrap around his head. She said he'd left a note, and she described heavy debts coming due.

The Lorain County coroner determined Gabel died of asphyxiation, blows to his head and body, and electrical burns. Police say Harrington attacked Gabel with a stun gun before suffocating him.
A message was left for a lawyer who represented Harrington in 2005 during divorce proceedings. The couple later reconciled.
