A Montana judge sentenced a Washington state man to life in prison without parole for killing and dismembering his 3-year-old son last summer.
District Judge Loren Tucker went beyond prosecutor's recommendations that 38-year-old Jeremy Cramer be eligible for parole after 30 years in the Montana State Prison.
Tucker said Friday that the butchery demanded the full extent of punishment allowed by law.

Cramer pleaded guilty in December to deliberate homicide. Broderick Cramer's body was found in a field south of Anaconda last July.
Witnesses testified for the first time that Cramer bashed the boy's head in with a rock, which likely killed him.
