A new investigation finds that a supervisor at the Veterans Administration office in Honolulu manipulated data to make it appear that agency was processing veterans' benefits claims faster.
That's according to a new report by the VA Office of Inspector General.
The data manipulation was happening last year when there was heightened scrutiny over how long veterans were waiting to see doctors.

The electronic records altering in Honolulu may have delayed the delivery of benefits including payments for dependents.
When inspectors looked at a random sample of records they found that nearly 90 percent had been manipulated.
The investigation was requested by the Honolulu VA Regional Office. A director at the Office of Inspector General says the regional office will help anyone who was harmed.
