A government report says Homeland Security agents were improperly delayed from entering a federal building during a probe of last year's terror attack in San Bernardino.
The report by the Department of Homeland Security's Inspector General says agents looking for the shooter's friend Enrique Marquez a day after the Dec. 2 onslaught that killed 14 people were not immediately allowed into a building where immigration interviews are conducted.
Homeland Security agents looked for Marquez there because his Russian wife, Mariya Chernykh, was scheduled for an interview with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

The report released Friday says agents also were delayed access to Chernykh's immigration file.
A Homeland Security spokeswoman says information-sharing procedures have since been improved to avoid such delays.
Marquez has pleaded not guilty to terror-related charges.
