Police say a woman who advertised "vampire face-lifts" and other cosmetic procedures she wasn't licensed to perform has been arrested after a suspicious death at a Southern California salon.
Long Beach police said Thursday that 45-year-old licensed massage therapist Sandra Gonzalez remains jailed and is under investigation by homicide detectives and state medical officials.
Police say 36-year-old Hamilet Suarez was getting cosmetic injections Wednesday at Areli's Barber Shop & Beauty Salon when she went into cardiac arrest and later died.

Police say they found medical equipment and controlled substances used for cosmetic procedures that Gonzalez was not licensed to perform including "vampire face-lifts," where a substance derived from the patient's blood is injected.
Phone messages left at the salon and a number listed in Gonzalez's name were not immediately returned.
