Police: Multiple victims in separate shootings in Austin

Officials say there have been separate shooting incidents in downtown Austin and there are multiple victims.

The Austin Police Department posted on its verified Facebook and Twitter pages that there was an active shooting incident downtown just before 3 a.m. About a half-hour later police said the scenes of the shootings were secure.

Police had warned people to stay away from downtown.

No additional information was immediately available.
