Kenner police say the companion of a woman arrested on Wednesday is now a suspect in the death of a Bourbon Street dancer whose dismembered body washed up on Mississippi beaches in 2012.
Chief Steve Caraway says 41-year-old Terry Speaks is being investigated in the killing of 22-year-old Jaren Lockhart.
Authorities say surveillance video at a strip club where Lockhart worked shows Speaks and Margaret Sanchez leaving with the dancer in June 2012.

Caraway says new witnesses recently came forward, leading to the arrest of Sanchez on Wednesday.
Speaks is in a New York prison for failing to register as a sex offender.
Caraway says investigators believe Lockhart was killed in Louisiana and her body was dumped off a bridge in Mississippi.
