As of Friday evening, nearly 1,600 people and 75 pets had been rescued by various search and rescue teams. (FEMA)

Search and rescue teams have been deployed by the U.S. Coast Guard, the Department of Defense, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the state of Florida.  (FEMA)

Rescue operations are prioritizing hospitals and healthcare facilities in barrier island communities. (FEMA)
