Penn State says no decision has been made on the future of the Joe Paterno statue outside Beaver Stadium.

The university has received pressure to remove the statue of the late coach following a scathing special investigator report that found Paterno helped cover up child sex abuse allegations against former assistant Jerry Sandusky.

Officials said Sunday trustees and administrators haven't decided what to do with the sculpture.

The report by former FBI director Louis Freeh said Paterno and other university officials covered up for Sandusky to avoid bad publicity. It says administrators reversed a decision to report a 2001 incident to authorities after the athletic director discussed it with Paterno.

Sandusky is awaiting sentencing on charges he sexually abused 10 boys, some inside Penn State's football facilities.
