Organizers are reviewing a Tough Mudder endurance event held in West Virginia following the death of a competitor.
Police say 28-year-old Avishek Sengupta of Ellicott City, Md., was found last Saturday in water at the "Walk the Plank" obstacle of a Tough Mudder event near Glengary. He died the next day at a northern Virginia hospital. A medical examiner said Sengupta drowned.
Tough Mudder spokeswoman Ashley Pinakiewicz tells Martinsburg, W.Va., newspaper The Journal (http://bit.ly/12H5TUo) the organization is reviewing the protocol for all obstacles. It also is reviewing how water safety personnel are briefed and managed.

She says there aren't any plans to remove any obstacles but changes would be made as deemed necessary.
