SAN RAFAEL, Calif. -- Authorities in California and Nevada plan to release more information Tuesday about a 77-year-old man accused in four homicides spanning two decades.

Joseph Naso of Reno, Nev., was booked late Monday on suspicion of the killings in 1977, 1978, 1993 and 1994. One of the 1970s victims was a woman in Marin County.

Naso was arrested in South Lake Tahoe after he was released from jail in an unrelated case. The Marin Independent Journal reports that he had been serving time for violating his probation in a 2009 theft case when four guns and ammunition were found in his home.

Naso is now being held without bail in Marin County Jail.

Sheriff's officials in Marin County and Nevada's Washoe County plan news conferences Tuesday morning to discuss the cold cases.
