Magnitude-3.6 earthquake shakes buildings across Los Angeles; hundreds report feeling it

A small earthquake has rattled a wide swath of greater Los Angeles, shaking buildings downtown.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude-3.6 quake hit at 7:01 a.m. near Carson.
Los Angeles police say there have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
