A rookie Los Angeles police officer is being sought as a "person of interest" in the shooting death of a young man.
Police in Pomona, a suburb 28 miles east of Los Angeles, said 27-year-old Henry Solis has not been seen since Friday, when a 23-year-old Ontario man was shot during a fight.
Authorities said Solis, who joined the LAPD in June and was still in his probationary period, was off-duty at the time. They said Solis didn't show up for work Saturday and they have reason to believe he knows that detectives are looking for him.

Detectives said they don't believe the men who got into the fight knew each other.
