Los Angeles police confront suspected gunman on busy shopping boulevard

Shots were fired as Los Angeles police confronted a suspected gunman in a busy shopping district in the San Fernando Valley.
Officer Rosario Herrera says police responded to a call of a man with a gun Friday afternoon on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City.
She says a police officer was then involved in a shooting, but she didn't know if the officer shot or if the man fired his weapon.

Herrera says no officer was injured. She did not know the man's condition.
Michael Blake said he was walking toward a Citibank branch when he saw the man with a leather jacket sitting on a low brick wall outside. He told KCAL-TV police said the man had a gun and shuffled him away. A few minutes later, he heard gunfire.
