Federal judge recuses himself from murder-for-hire trial

A federal judge in Ohio is recusing himself from the case of a terrorism suspect accused of trying to arrange to have the judge killed.
The Blade newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/29BtJsI ) U.S. District Court Judge Jack Zouhary will no longer hear the case of 37-year-old Yahya Farooq Mohammad, who was indicted last week on several charges.
The native of the United Arab Emirates is accused of trying to hire a hit man for $15,000 to kill Zouhary. Mohammad has been charged with attempted first-degree murder of a federal officer, solicitation to commit a crime of violence, and use of interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder for hire.

Chief Judge Edmund Sargus Jr. of the Southern District of Ohio has been appointed to preside over the case.
