Details emerge in Colorado Springs slaying of soldier and his wife

Colorado Springs police say a teenage burglar ransacking a home fatally shot a homeowner checking a burglar alarm and then gunned down the man's pregnant wife when she came home a few minutes later.
The new details of the January attack were heard in court Tuesday as a hearing began for Macyo January, the teenager accused of killing the newlyweds just months after their arrival in Colorado Springs.
According to the Colorado Springs Gazette (http://tinyurl.com/lew3zlb ), January was charged as an adult, but now seeks to have his case transferred back into Juvenile Court because he was 17 when he was arrested.

Army Staff Sgt. David Dunlap and his wife, Whitney Butler, were shot and killed when they surprised a burglar inside their home on Jan. 14.
