This undated photo provided by the Carson City Sheriff's Office shows a Christmas card sent in December 2014 to Carson City Justice of the Peace John Tatro. Someone left Tatro the ominous Christmas card with the words "YOU WILL DIE" in big block letters and an incendiary device that fizzled out in front of his house before causing any damage. Even though officials have combed Tatro's past court decisions for evidence of a vendetta, offered $5,000 in reward money and released surveillance footage with a glimpse of a possible suspect, detectives are stumped. Nevada detectives say they're struggling to crack the case of a judge who has been targeted at his home with gunfire, a burning object and an ominous Christmas card.

Carson City sheriff's Detective Sam Hatley said Wednesday there aren't any promising leads about the threats to Carson City Justice of the Peace John Tatro.

Someone fired two shots through Tatro's front door in December 2012. One bullet flew through the living room, out a sliding glass door and into a back fence. Nobody was hurt.

This May, someone left the burning object in front of the home, but it fizzled without doing damage.

Detectives released photos of a Christmas card featuring a death threat in hopes the handwriting generates leads.

They're also offering a $5,000 reward.
