A University of Florida student is in the hospital after being shot by campus police, MyFoxOrlando.com reported.
University police say they got a call from the student's neighbor complaining that the man was screaming inside his apartment. When police arrived the student wouldn't come out. When officers tried to confront him, they say he attacked them with a metal pipe and a knife. That’s when he was shot.
No information has been released on the student's condition.
