“Survivor” winner Ethan Zohn is battling cancer, according to a report in People magazine.

At just 35 years old, the outgoing, curly-haired winner of “Survivor: Africa” was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkins disease last month. The reality star began chemotherapy last Friday.

“This is the ultimate game of ‘Survivor’, Zohn told People, “and there’s really only one outcome and that’s to win. There’s no other option.”

Zohn was diagnosed with the disease after months of itching and night sweats. While doctors originally thought it to be a skin condition, they discovered a swollen lymph node and a mass on the side of his left chest. Eventually, his condition was determined to be CD20-positive Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Hodgkin’s disease is a type of cancer of the lymphatic system. Most patients who suffer from the disease are able to be successfully treated, with a 90-95 percent remission success rate.
