One sailor was killed and two were injured late Thursday when a Navy boat on a training mission collided with a tug boat in the James River near Norfolk, WAVY.com reports.

Three sailors were aboard the Naval Special Warfare 24-foot RHIB when the collision occurred around 11:30 p.m. Thursday. The survivors were pulled from the water around 1:10 a.m. Friday and the deceased sailor was recovered at 8 a.m.
