Prosecutors in Los Angeles say they will seek the death penalty for a man accused of burning his two children to death.
The county district attorney's office said Wednesday it will seek the sentence if a jury convicts 57-year-old Dae Kwon Yun. He has pleaded not guilty to two murder counts with special circumstances.
Prosecutors allege he placed his 11-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son in an SUV and set it on fire more than two years ago in the Los Angeles garment district.

The defendant was badly burned but rolled out of the vehicle and survived. Authorities say he may have been distraught over a gambling debt and a separation from his wife.
