MODESTO, Calif. – Scott Peterson's (search) formal sentencing has been postponed until March at the request of his lawyers, who wanted more time to draw up a request that his conviction and death sentence be thrown out.
Peterson had been scheduled for sentencing on Feb. 25 in the slayings of his wife, Laci, and her fetus. Judge Alfred A. Delucchi (search) postponed it to March 11, the court said Tuesday.
