A traffic stop resulting from an obstructed license plate led to the discovery of $1.6 million worth of cocaine in a car.
A Council Bluffs police officer stopped a car driven by Kendrick Archibald, 38, of Chicago, on Interstate 80 at 12:45 p.m. Friday when the officer noticed the car's license plate wasn't in clear view, police reports said.
Archibald gave the officer his consent to search the car — a search that resulted in the discovery of 36 pounds of cocaine and $38,255 in cash.
