Iraqi officials say at least 15 people have been killed and 30 wounded when a suicide bomber struck a Kurdish funeral tent northeast of Baghdad.
Col. Azad Issa, the director of a nearby police station, says the bomber detonated his explosives inside the tent in Jalula. Local Kurdish official Salahuddin Kekh confirmed the attack and casualty toll.
Jalula has a volatile mix of Sunni Arabs and Kurds who have seen tensions rise over Kurdish territorial ambitions. It has been the site of several past bombings.
