'Girls Gone Wild' Founder Joe Francis to Be Arraigned on Sexual Battery Charge

"Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis is due in court to face accusations that he fondled an 18-year-old woman at a birthday party in Hollywood while she told him to leave her alone.

Francis faces a misdemeanor sexual battery charge when he is arraigned Tuesday in Los Angeles. He could be sentenced to six months in jail and a $2,000 fine if he's convicted.

The charge is the latest in a series of legal troubles for Francis.

He was sentenced to 35 days in jail last month in Florida for contempt of court in a civil case and was indicted last month in Nevada for tax evasion.

A U.S. District judge in Los Angeles fined him $200,000 in January for violating record-keeping requirements designed to prevent exploitation of minors.

He was also ordered to perform 200 hours of community service.
