Florida Woman Gives Birth in McDonald's Parking Lot

HOMESTEAD, Fla. – A Florida woman gave birth to a baby girl, but it didn't happen in a hospital. It happened in a McDonald's parking lot.

Silvia Nanduca was already in labor yesterday when the friend driving her to the hospital pulled into the chain's parking lot. Miami-Dade Fire-Rescue officials said Nanduca told her friend to stop because the pain had become too intense.

By the time fire crews arrived, Nanduca had a healthy baby girl in her arms.

Both mother and baby are reportedly doing fine this morning. Nanduca said she hasn't named the 6 pounds, 11 ounce girl yet.
