They survived weeks of starvation and grueling physical challenges -- but can they endure an onslaught of attention when they return to their hometowns?

That's what Survivor: Back From the Outback aims to discover. The one-hour show will air at 8 p.m. EDT May 10 on CBS, a week after the $1 million winner emerges on Survivor: The Australian Outback.

The program will follow the 16 contestants as they return home and deal with their newfound fame, Variety.com reported Wednesday. It also will include interviews with contestants from the original Survivor.

And, right smack in the middle of the May sweeps period, the second half-hour of Back From the Outback will air opposite a special 30-minute episode of the NBC game show Weakest Link, which features a handful of original Survivor players.

Survivor: The Australian Outback wraps up May 3 with a two-hour finale, followed by a one-hour town hall-style reunion with host Bryant Gumbel.
