State police say a 12-year-old upstate New York boy is dead after he collided with his brother while riding off-road motorcycles.
The crash left 16-year-old Christopher Beasock of Boonville in critical condition at University Hospital in Syracuse.
Troopers said the brothers were riding dirt bikes with friends on a rural Lewis County road Monday afternoon. It appeared that Kody Beasock was traveling in one direction, his brother coming from the other.

Kody Beasock apparently looked over his right shoulder at a friend riding next to him and ended up drifting across the center line into his brother's path and colliding head-on. Both riders were thrown from their bikes.
